Everyone Gets The Same Amount
In a lot of ways life is unfair. A great many things are distributed unequally-wealth, education, success, health, etc.
But what if I was to tell you that there is a great equalizer? One thing that everyone gets the same amount of?
No matter who you are, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Oprah, the President of the United States, your share is the same as all the other people on the planet, and there is no way to get more of it.
Furthermore, what if I told you that despite getting an equal amount, not everyone uses it the same? Some people try to use it as much as possible in order to be successful, while others (in fact most) waste a great deal of it.
Would you be curious to know what it is and how you can use it to become a success?
How It’s Used Makes All The Difference
The thing I’m talking about is time. All of us, no matter where we’re borne, only get 24 hours per day. And no matter how hard we try, (or for those of us with kids and careers wish), there is no way to get any more. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
It is truly the one area of life in which the playing field is completely level.
However, despite its equality, most people chose not to use the time they have to attain the same level of success as others. In fact, most people waste the vast majority of it.
If you examine the daily routines of most successful people you’ll find the one thing they all have in common is they try to maximize every moment of their day. How you use your time can truly make all the difference in your quality of life.
Use It Productively
So how do you become like Warren Buffet, using your time productively and maximizing your chance of success?
Start by giving as much as possible to the areas below.
Knowledge is power. The things you can accomplish in life are literally limitless if you have the right information.
Unhappy with your current income? Take classes, read books or purchase training programs that teach you how to start an online business, invest or build skills that will allow you to get promoted. Time invested in education will yield a MUCH bigger return than watching television or surfing the web.
I cannot emphasize this enough. The right knowledge can change your life. When I first started my career I was horrible at numbers. Eventually I went back to school and focused on statistics, finance and accounting. Now, my analytical and financial abilities are a competitive strength, and have opened doors that are generally not available to people with a sales background.
Sir Richard Branson, is one of the most successful business owners in the world. His “Virgin Group” is comprised of over 400 companies including Virgin Airlines. In addition, he has accomplished some phenomenal personal achievements such as crossing the Atlantic in a balloon.
What does Brason credit as the key to his success? Exercise.
Science has shown that healthy people think more clearly, have more endurance and generally feel better about themselves.
Rather than say you don’t have time to exercise, ask yourself how you can afford not to have time.
I realize that in a world bursting with books about 4 hour work weeks and the benefits of work/life balance this is a controversial stance; however, the facts are that no one becomes successful without putting in plenty of blood, sweat and hours.
Want to be the top sales person? Then you need to be making calls and building your strategies when everyone else has gone signed out for the night.
That successful business you’ve always dreamed of owning? It’s not going to show up gift wrapped. It’s going to take no days off.
Please don’t misunderstand me. I’m not talking about grinding for the sake of grinding. I’m talking about putting hours against the tasks and items that you going to allow you to reach your goal. These things don’t come easy, but the time and effort will be part of your victory once you reach your goal.
Now You Know
So now you know the one area where you have the same resource as everyone else in the world. Go use it and make your life even better.
